We have over 15 years of experience detoxing and managing pregnant patients in Alpharetta. We have relationships with facilities providing out patient counseling programs as well as in patient care when needed. For opiate dependent patients: we have a UNIQUE program to permit mother to be off of ALL physically dependent drugs by the time of delivery. This protocol has a >95% success if started in the first trimester- (without mother having to experience withdrawal) . This is in contrast to traditional medical bias to keep Mom on methadone for the duration of pregnancy or other drugs making the newborn infant at risk for Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (formerly known as neonatal abstinence syndrome.)
